Project details

RIBA 0-6

The existing property had been extended from a cottage and so the internal spaces did not work for a contemporary family home. The project brief was to overhaul the outdated interior of the existing property and create a modern open kitchen/dining room to the centre of the house.

The existing ground floor was opened up and a new double height entrance hall added to create a grand entrance suitable for the size of the property.
Most of the layout at first floor was reconfigured to create additional ensuites and bring in more natural light to the landing and bedrooms.

"We have used James to help us develop designs for two significant projects on separate dwellings, on both occasions we received an exceptional service and were delighted with the resultant designs. Nothing is ever too much for James, his attention to detail, coupled with his ability to find solutions to any problems which might arise, are a credit to the service he provides. His design 'flare' also allows him to propose interesting elements to his designs that we hadn't considered yet we ultimately adopted in the final design. James is always a pleasure to deal with, nothing is too much trouble, we wouldn't hesitate to use James again and we would strongly recommend him to any prospective customers."
