About
JETArch Design is an Architectural Practice and design studio based on sustainable architecture, urbanism and good design.
JETArch Design was founded in 2013 with the aspiration to design meaningful architecture that put the client’s experience at the heart of the project.
With a profound commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability, we pride ourselves on our dedication to crafting exceptional architectural solutions that not only focus on providing contemporary architecture but also focusing on the heritage of our built environment with specialisms in working with listed building and conservation areas.
"Our project required innovation, vision and technical ability - the key ingredients to turn ‘potential’ into a beautiful, well designed home. James and his team worked wonders with our property, using all their expertise to design a house that works for the whole family. James also provided the creativity needed to bring in unique features too which has given our property personality and an identity. James’s attention to detail is staggering and our builders have often said the technical drawings are the best they’ve ever seen! We would recommend James in a heartbeat. He’s proactive, helpful, creative and incredibly clear in his guidance. 5 gold stars from this appreciative family!"
Arron
Our passion lies in the details of high quality design whether it be a metal clad glass extension or a neo-classical new build.
At our core, we believe that exceptional design is the cornerstone of every great project. We are dedicated to crafting spaces that not only inspire but we also understand the intrinsic and unquantifiable value to emotions and wellbeing of the client that the sense of space can create. Design is not just about aesthetics; it is a narrative that reflects values, aspirations and functionality which are all seamlessly blended together.
Quality is the essence of everything we do. From the initial concept to the final execution, we adhere to the highest standards of design and innovation. We embrace diversity and draw inspiration from various influences, from cutting-edge contemporary trends to timeless architectural principles. Collaborating closely with our clients, we strive to understand their aspirations, goals and unique requirements to create bespoke designs that exceed their vision.
Process
JETArch Design work primarily as Principal Designers and lead coordinators across all stages required to take a project from that initial site consultation to completion. We have found that by working this way we can provide the best service for our clients that helps keep control of the design process by providing a golden thread approach.
The stages of each project can broadly be broken down into the following 4 categories.
01 - Feasibility
The feasibility stage is important in every project as it enables you as a client to understand what can be achieved and what the approximate costs involved may be. It is a relatively quick way to understand what possibilities a project may have and can be summed up in a feasibility study that can be used for Pre-Application Advice with a local authority.
02 - Planning
The process for planning can be difficult to navigate especially when there is National Policies, Local Plans and Neighbourhood Plans to consider. Our extensive, in-depth knowledge of the planning process enables our clients to reduce their risks in obtaining permission. There can be multiple disciplines to consider such as ecology, arboriculture, heritage and highways but with our approved partners we can provide a cohesive approach for our clients. Planning is sought from the local authority.
03 - Building regulations
Building regulations approval will be required for almost all projects that involve construction. Aside from details provided by other consultants, such as structural engineering, we produced all the drawings and specifications required to not only gain building regulations approval, but also to provide a construction package for contractors. Building Regulations approval can be sought either from the local authority or from Building Control Approvers (formerly known as Approved Inspectors).
04 - Project management
Project management services can be vital in coordinating work on site between consultants, sub-contractors and the Principal Contractor. When the construction work is underway, site meetings are important to keep a track of the progress and address any issues in a timely manner. This is the only service we provide that can alter significantly to the level needed for each individual project.
Awards
Being a RIBA Chartered Practice, JETArch Design is a multi-award-winning Architecture studio with work appearing in local publications and awards.
