This development sits in designated countryside on the site of a Grade II Listed farmhouse. The project looks to create a new family dwelling with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity for the site. The project will be built from CLT which, as mass timber, sequesters carbon and provides a form of prefabrication. The aim is to create a dwelling that does not include any concrete but instead uses screw pile foundations creating a carbon negative footprint. All interior materials include toxin absorbing natural clay paints and natural fibre insulations, such as alpaca wool, which help to boost the projects eco credentials.
