JETArch Design is a young, award-winning company focusing on residential architecture in and around Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Surrey. Due to a recent increase in projects, we are seeking a talented and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technician to join our team in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will be happy to work in a small team within a growing practice, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to exciting projects. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills by working across all stages of design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop conceptual design proposals under the direction of the project architect.
- Prepare presentation material, including 3D images for presentation to the client.
- Prepare and develop tender and construction level information to meet the client’s brief and the relevant building, planning and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to nurture and maintain good professional relations with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to the client and design team.
- Undertaking site visits to review progress and provide good technical solutions to issues that arise on site.
Requirements:
- RIBA Part 2 qualification or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software
- Excellent design and technical drawing skills
- Strong understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations with an ability to create construction drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Flexible working with a minimum of 2 days in the office and ability to attend site meetings/surveys when required
- Full UK driving license
